Mantle governance begins in the Mantle Forum, where any community member may introduce a discussion or soft proposal. These early-stage proposals act as temperature checks to gather feedback and refine the idea before formalization. Each discussion must remain open for at least 7 days before progressing. If sufficient support emerges, the proposal may be elevated to a Mantle Improvement Proposal (MIP). Creating a formal voting proposal requires a minimum of 200,000 delegated MNT. Voting operates through a delegation-based system, meaning token holders must delegate their voting power, either to themselves or to another address, to participate. Delegation does not lock or transfer ownership of tokens, it only assigns voting rights. Each delegated token equals one vote, and voting remains open for a minimum of 7 days. For a proposal to pass, it must meet a quorum of 100 million MNT and achieve a majority. Once approved, implementation is carried out off-chain by Mantle’s core contributor teams, supported by committees when applicable, or executed through the Mantle Treasury using a Safe multisig.
Mantle offers Mantle Journey, which may look like an airdrop mechanism but is a rewards program. Mantle has also conducted airdrops, though only for other tokens such as COOK. Although some external platforms like Bitget or Binance have airdropped MNT, these initiatives were not conducted by Mantle itself.
This project doesn't conduct any offical airdrop
