On the Ethereum blockchain, 2 MORPHO token addresses exist: Legacy MORPHO and MORPHO. In fact, the legacy token was the protocol’s original immutable contract, which lacked on-chain vote tracking and upgradeability. Following governance proposal MIP-75, which concluded on October 29, 2024, the community introduced the new MORPHO token, an upgradeable, cross-chain compatible version that enables on-chain governance and future interoperability. The legacy MORPHO tokens are no longer in use and can be converted 1:1 into the new MORPHO token.
